Charlie Vaughn


Charlie Vaughn has served on the board of directors of the bank since its inception and currently serves as chairman. Vaughn has a B.S. degree from the University of Alabama and an M.B.A. from Tulane University. He retired from the United States Army in 1986 with 21 years experience as an officer. His tours of duty included The Pentagon, two tours in Vietnam and his last assignment was at Redstone Arsenal in
Huntsville, AL.

Vaughn worked in the defense industry until his retirement in April 2010. During those years, he worked in positions of ever increasing importance. His positions included those of project manager, vice president for business development, group president and president of CAS, Inc. 

Vaughn currently serves as a member of the board of trustees for the Huntsville Hospital Foundation and as a member of the board of visitors of the Business School at the University of Alabama. He is also currently serving on the boards of three technology companies in Huntsville, which include chairman of the board for N-Logic, GaN and a member of the board for Quantitech. Vaughn is also the residing president of Tera Corporation, a development company. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Huntsville, and a graduate of the Huntsville Leadership Program. He has previously served on the board of directors for CAS, Inc., MEADS, LLC, The Land Trust of North Alabama, Junior Achievement, the Association of the United States Army, past president of Valley Hill Country Club, and member of the Tennessee Valley BRAC Committee.

He is married to Jane, and they have four children.
